Tourism Fiji is seeking an experienced travel-marketing professional to manage its trade partnerships with the goal of increasing visitor arrivals from China to Fiji.
Based in Tourism Fiji’s Shanghai office, the role will report to the Regional Manager Greater China and will oversee the identification, development, implementation and measurement of strategic agreements with wholesale and retail partners in the Greater China in line with the overall strategies of Tourism Fiji.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of current travel distribution models as well as a keen grasp of marketing principles and best practices in both traditional and news media. S/he should have experience in managing trade campaigns, events and familiarization trips with a proven record for results driven activities.
Knowledge of Fiji and/or the South Pacific as a tourism destination is desirable, as is the ability to communicate professionally and passionately about the destination.
The position requires strong analytic and negotiating skills, the ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects, and outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Relevant degree in Tourism, Marketing or Communications is essential. At least 5 years experience in a similar role is mandatory, along with the legal right to work in China. The role will require you to drive and also travel.
